It’s official! Tuesday, September 8, 2026 the MWRTA Network Redesign will launch.
The last day of current service will be Sunday, September 6, 2026.
There will be NO service on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026.
What's next? Over the summer, we will be revising bus stop signage, providing outreach and handing out information, and posting full route schedules and maps to our website. Be sure to continue to check www.mwrta.com regularly for updates.

Outreach done during Public Comment Period #2 (March 1 - March 31) was performed by reaching out to local stakeholders and setting up personalized meetings to discuss the proposed changes. Comments from the public were taken via social media posts, comments on the interactive map, or via voicemail.
MWRTA collaborated with the Framingham Public Schools, and presented on a public webinar hosted by the school system. The presentation included information on current MWRTA services, as well as on the redesign proposed changes and how to provide feedback.
The final public comment period (April 13 - May 31) consisted of additional meetings with local stakeholders dicsussing proposed changes, and promoting the revisions made to the public. Comments from the public were taken via social media posts, comments on the interactive map, or via voicemail.
